TearsCaught up in the moment, tearing back the scene, take it all away. I can feel them coming. They're choking me.
Tearing down the mental wallpaper, take out the damned trash for once and get it out of my head. The tears are bleeding out.
The tears I've tried so hard to evade and cascading down my face as a reminder of my silent strain. My face has become as thin as the hands of that ticking clock. Tick tock.
The tears that leak out of my eyes like the rain that seeps through the ceiling when you're sound asleep. The raindrops that wake you up and remind you of where you really are. The raindrops that wake you from dreaming.

Siblings of the HeartI feel so useless,
I can't be there

I try to hug you
to hold you close,
but you're not there.

I try to cheer you
with horrible jokes,
but they don't last long.

through a lifeless computer,
but it can't show emotion.

Shadows never moved,
And the moon never hung so high,
Just out of my grasp.
It used to be made of cheese,
And every night, a small starry eyed mouse would
take a nibble from it
And it would change.
Now I can't reach it.

Tears never were this wet before,
So full, so heavy.
They never made such marks on my cheeks.
There was never with soft sobbing.
Something was always there to pick me back up.

You are.
My biggest obsession.
My most troublesome mess.
And my biggest depression.
You still seem
to control me,
even though,
you no longer notice me.
And through it all,

Killing Your Daughter I found myself hunched over a small book, flipping the pages frantically. The characters were indecipherable, smeared with blood and feces. The corners of the pages were sharp, silently splitting my fingertips open, I felt nothing. I grew frightened as I skimmed the text, the words were meaningless. Wild nonsense, manifested from the depths of some poor fools mind. My mind, I heard myself whispering. Suddenly the book became hot. I clenched to its edges and soon began to smell the cooking of skin. I hurled the book to the ground and howled in pain. I looked at my hands. I could see the bone, I began to panic. A gnarled tree branch protrude

BlackberriesI wander through the blackberry vines,
in a blue and white checkered sundress.
I expertly rummage through the barb covered vines
but a few rouge thorns prick like needles
as I reap the bounty of the plump, ripe berries.
After gathering a few handfuls,
I pop one or two into my waiting mouth
the maroon juices seep over my fingers
onto my hands, staining them purple.
I lick my fingers clean of the blood
of the dying berries.
Mother summons me from the kitchen window
I lift up the basket full of berries and
saunter through the field of wild flowers, past
the garden gate, and up the red brick path
to the kitchen door.

Staring at your face.

Desire - to see your smile.

Smile as we dance,
Laugh away the pain,

As you let out a sigh.

Just something I typed up while at work. I kinda like it - actually, I really like it. We'll see what else I can come up with using the idea of dancing in the rain.

I just love the imagery of dancing in the rain with your love. I've been tossing ideas around for a poem themed around dancing, and I've also always liked it when it rained. So the two ideas really clicked, for some reason. I churned this out a bit quicker than I would've liked, and I've tweaked it a bit since posting it (both reasons because I was closing the office when I finished it), but overall I really like the way it came out.

Constructive criticism is appreciated.

Aww, thanks. I don't know why it makes you cry, but I'm glad you like it.

I've been thinking about making a visual poetry version of this, but I don't know exactly how I wanna do it. I'm thinking about it. If I get it done, I might offer it as a print on here. Then maybe you can get a copy and hang it up in your room or something. That'd be cool.

I've got a couple different ideas I'm thinking of trying. Though the one I like the most right now might be the hardest (or most expensive) to do.

Depends. The idea was to have someone model the scenes I'm planning out and have real life images. They might have to be photoshopped to look like rain, cause I doubt I can do that myself and have it look realistic. So I'd have to pay for the model(s) and/or the photoshopping. Unless I can work something out with someone here on dA. I could take the pictures myself if the models were in my area, but if it's someone from dA, then I doubt that would be the case.

All depends on what I can arrange. I could look for stock images, but it's highly unlikely I can find stock images that specific...as a set...using the same model(s). Who knows, though? Price could be anywhere from dirt cheap to astronomical. I have no clue. And unless it's dirt cheap, I have no chance of paying it.
