So helplessly, I write these things.
I'm only words, we've never met,
Just a wall of text on the Internet.
But you must know I'm always there,
I've shown my heart, laid it bare.
Feel our souls, yours and mine
Like threads of Fate they intertwine
I'll hold you close, share your pain
My crystal tears will fall like rain.
Though this may be all I can do
Whatever I can I'll do for you.
We're so far apart - I can only wait
For what lies in the threads of Fate.

The Ballroom Eulogy
She dances in abandoned ballrooms decorated with dusty chandeliers and cobwebbed draperies. Ancient hotel floorboards creak music as she sweeps over them, creating designs in the dirt. Her arms paint pictures in the lukewarm air as her lips form words
songs without melodies.
Writing ballads through the night, she extends her legs and her dreams into the hope that one day someone might ask her name. She haunts the grand staircases and walks down faded red carpet, her eyes alight with stardom that she may never obtain.

me like breezes shaking
time-worn boughs
(and I cannot
resist that

slide your whispers
along skin, let them
sink deep as bone
breathe my name,
a fervent, sighing
psalm

singing like new leaves
dancing in the
